New Siren SUP HP: 7'4"

Here's the new Siren SUP HP at 7'4" x 28.5 x 4.0. Wrapped top & bottom in psychadelic print surface veil, then laminated with a 6oz. bottom, double 6oz. deck. The quad fin set up makes this board both loose and fast, and, just like its 9' counterpart, shows not even the slightest hint of a desire to spin out.

We had it out today in windy head high surf, and it works insane. Extremely maneuverable; hands down the best surf-specific SUP we have ever ridden. The thing that sets it apart is its rail shape. As SUPs get shorter, the natural tendency is to let the rail get fuller in order to preserve bouyancy and stability. But this leaves the board feeling really corky and unresponsive since it is impossible to carve if the rail is too bulky to penetrate the wave face. The Siren SUP keep a trim rail profile and thereby maintains its nimble, surfboard-like character.

Of course everyone is taken aback by it's size--so easy to carry, it's barely longer than the paddle. The only downside is that shorter boards tend to torque from one side to the other as you paddle, so you need to switch hands more often to maintain a straight course.

Video coming soon.
